Updated by AES

The CCAs offered are grouped into four categories:

  • Sports & Games: Basketball (Boys & Girls), Football (Boys), Judo (Boys & Girls), Softball (Girls), and Floorball (Boys).

  • Uniformed Groups: Girl Guides, National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC), Red Cross Youth, and National Cadet Corps (NCC) (Sea).

  • Performing Arts: Choir, Concert Band, Modern Dance, and English Language, Drama and Debating.

  • Clubs & Societies: English Language Drama and Debate Society, and Young Montfortian Associates.

Some of these CCAs are highly distinctive to AES. For example:

  • AES is one of only 8 secondary schools offering Judo CCA in Singapore. Judo cultivates self-discipline, respect, and mental and physical resilience, while also improving reflexes, coordination, and focus.

  • AES is one of only 10 School Football Academies in Singapore. As part of the Unleash The Roar! national project, we collaborate with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and Sport Singapore (SportSG) to provide a high-quality training environment using a sports science and technology approach and with an emphasis on character development.

  • AES’ National Cadet Corps (Sea) unit is one of only 15 sea units in Singapore. As part of this elite group, our cadets learn directly from Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) personnel, gaining valuable insights into maritime defence. Leadership, resilience, and seamanship are developed through authentic experiences.
