Is the Pre-marriage LTVP assessment (PMLA) mandatory?

Updated by ICA

The Pre-Marriage LTVP Assessment (PMLA) was introduced to provide greater clarity for Singapore Citizen-Non Resident (SC-NR) couples to plan their future together.

You are strongly advised to undergo the PMLA with your NR spouse-to-be if you intend to apply LTVP for your NR-spouse-to-be after marriage. Couples who choose not to do so and directly apply for LTVP after marriage will face a longer processing time up to six months.
