How do I appeal against my visa rejection?

Updated by ICA

You can submit an appeal via the enquiry form within one month from the date of visa rejection.

Please include the following documents in your email for us to process your appeal:

  • A copy of applicant's passport biodata page;
  • A letter (signed by the local contact) to request ICA to reconsider applicant's visa rejection and reason for reconsideration;
  • Any other supporting documents
  • The local contact’s NRIC date of issue for the facilitation of the appeal.

The processing time for appeal is generally 14 working days, depending on its complexity. Each appeal is assessed and considered on its own merits.

Local contacts are advised to monitor the status of the visa appeal online via the Enquire Application Status function.
