What should I do when my Student's Pass expires?

Updated by ICA

If your Student’s Pass (STP) is about to expire and you are in Singapore, you are advised to depart Singapore before or on the date of expiry of your STP.

However, if you wish to remain in Singapore beyond your STP, you can submit a STP cancellation at least five days before the expiry, if you have a valid SingPass account. Alternatively, you can approach your school for STP cancellation. The grant of short-term visit pass is subjected to approval.

Should you be in Singapore after the expiry of your STP without any other valid pass issued to you, you are to report immediately to ICA Services Centre with your passport and expired STP, for assessment and legalisation of your stay.

It is an offence to overstay in Singapore without a valid immigration pass.

If you have left Singapore before the expiry of your Student’s Pass, we do not require any action on your part.
