Can I proceed with the Singapore citizenship registration if I am in the midst of divorce procedure?
If your Singapore citizenship application was approved under the sponsorship of your spouse, you are unable to proceed with your Singapore citizenship registration. Do not renounce your foreign citizenship.
Applications submitted before 26 June 2024:
Please login to ICA e-Service with your Singpass, select "upload additional documents" and upload the latest documents reflecting your change in marital status (in PDF format) within the Citizenship Application e-Service for review. Please note that withholding information on your marital status at the time of registration could affect your Singapore citizenship status.
When uploading documents via ICA e-Service, please use a desktop or laptop. Please do not include numbers and special characters in the file names.
Application submitted on or after 26 June 2024:
Please contact us via the enquiry form and upload the latest documents reflecting your change in marital status.
Please ensure the uploaded documents are in PDF format and do not include numbers and special characters in the file names.
