How do I withdraw my renunciation application for Singapore citizenship?

Updated by ICA

Please note that once your declaration of renunciation is registered, you will cease to be a citizen of Singapore and cannot withdraw the renunciation. There is also no provision for reinstatement once a renunciation is effected. If you have not received confirmation of your renunciation application, you may write in to ica_irr_review@ica.gov.sg to request to withdraw the application with your reasons. There will not be a refund of the fee. As Singapore does not allow dual citizenship you will also need to explain your plan of divesting yourself of your foreign citizenship.

Note: If your renunciation has already been processed, your request to withdraw will not be successful.
