What is the difference between a charity and non-profit organisation? For an NPO that isn’t registered as a charity, how many board members are they supposed to have? Do the same rules apply for charities and NPOs?

The objects of a NPO need not be exclusively charitable but a charity is set up for exclusively charitable purposes.

As there is no governing body or regulations governing NPOs, they will have the freedom to decide on the board composition, as well as the NPO’s operational aspects.
