If CMC discovers that a mediation session has been recorded, we will:

Instruct the party responsible to delete the recording immediately; and
Require the deletion to take place in the presence of the mediators or a CMC officer

CMC may take further action if necessary, in accordance with the Community Mediation Centres Act.

What you can do instead

You may take written notes during your mediation session. This helps you remember key discussion points without compromising confidentiality.
