You DON'T need to register if:

  • You do business in Singapore for not more than a total of 90 days per year

Important: You still have other legal duties

Even if you don't need to register, you must still follow these rules:

Report large cash payments

  • Report any cash payment over $20,000

  • This includes cash and cash equivalents (which means cash cheque or traveller's cheque, payment accounts that contains e-money, any physical or electronic form of vouchers, tokens, etc.)

Report suspicious activities

  • Report any suspicious transactions to the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office (Singapore Police Force)

What to do next

Check the full list of requirements at the official Ministry of Law, Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism Division (ACD) page: http://www.go.gov.sg/acd
