Can I apply for no-pay or long-term leave during the 3-year teaching bond period?

No-pay leave is normally granted only to officers who have served at least 3 years in service. Officers are normally granted 6 months of no-pay child-care leave at the first instance. Long-term leave requests to accompany a spouse overseas will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to exigencies of service. The usual length of leave granted ranges from 6 months to a year.
