My child is attending a camp at the MOE Outdoor Adventure Learning Centre for the first time. What are the facilities at the campsite and how are the facilities maintained?
All MOE Outdoor Adventure Learning Centres (OALCs) are designed to provide camping experiences where students deepen their self-discovery and learning in social-emotional competencies as they interact and learn from one another through adventurous activities. Students will practise outdoor living skills and develop greater independence, inter-dependence, ruggedness and resilience, as well as connect with nature.
The OALCs have basic facilities like students' dormitories, low and high adventure learning facilities (ALF) and campgrounds. All facilities at the OALCs are built to international standards (European and American Standards) and are strictly regulated based on Standard Operating Procedures. Regular maintenance and inspections are carried out by qualified personnel.
