Examples of professional qualification include the Diploma in Education and the Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education (NIE). Such qualifications have a practicum component built into the teacher training programme. You should note that professional qualifications aside, MOE also takes into consideration the applicant's content mastery, experience and personal qualities when deciding on the person's suitability for teaching in our mainstream schools.
