Can my child's involvement in an external activity or competition be recognised in his/her co-curricular records?
Students' participation in co-curricular activities is an integral part of their holistic development. The five domains, Participation, Achievement, Leadership, Service, and Enrichment, are used to record students' learning and development through their co-curricular participation. In general, external involvements can be captured under the Achievement and Service domain.
The Achievement domain records the different levels of students' representation of the school, or external organisations. The Service domain records the student's development as an individual who is socially responsible and understands his/her role in contributing to the needs of the community.
To ensure that events recorded are appropriate and meaningful, schools may require students to provide the necessary documentation for verification and endorsement.
