If you are interested in the Teacher Training Scheme for Art, Music, Chinese Language or Tamil Language, do note that this scheme is mainly for GCE ‘O’ level holders or equivalent. Recruitment exercises take place around June and July (near the period of the Early Admissions Exercise to the polytechnics) and after the release of the GCE ‘O’ level results. The Early Admission Exercise is only applicable for Chinese Language and Tamil Language.

If you wish to apply for the Bachelor of Arts/Science (Education) programme, you will need to have GCE ‘A’ level qualifications, a polytechnic diploma or equivalent qualifications. You are encouraged to apply in the final year of your studies. The recruitment exercise takes place in conjunction with Nanyang Technological University University Admissions Exercise. The application window typically opens from October to March. You may apply via Careers@Gov.

If you are a polytechnic student or university undergraduate applying for the Diploma in Education or Postgraduate Diploma in Education programme respectively, you are encouraged to apply in the final year of your studies.
