My child gained priority admission through home-school distance category. What happens if we move from our address used for P1 registration and cannot meet the 30-month stay requirement?

The Home-School Distance (HSD) category priority is given for the interest and convenience of the family and the child. The family is expected to reside at the address for the duration of the child’s primary school studies.

If you move to a residence within the same HSD, you can continue to fulfil the 30-month stay requirement from your new address.

If your new residence falls beyond the original HSD category and you cannot meet the 30-month stay requirement, MOE will transfer your child to any school in its sole discretion and you will have no say in the choice of such school.
