Community In Bloom (CIB) is a national community gardening program, launched in 2005, that aims to foster a gardening culture among the people in Singapore. CIB facilitates and guides residents, students and workers in Singapore to set up their community gardening projects in residential areas, schools and organisations.

If you are keen to on setting up a community garden within your residential estate, school or organisation, here is a quick guide on how to get started:

  • Gather a group of 8 – 10 people who would be keen to contribute to the garden.

  • You should also obtain the relevant approvals/support to start your garden:

    1. If you are proposing to start a garden within a residential area/housing estate, do seek support from your Resident's Committee (RC) / Neighbourhood Committee (NC) / Resident's Network (RN).

    2. If you are starting a garden in your schools, please seek approval from your Principal.

    3. If you are starting a garden for your organisation, please seek approval from your estate/building management.

  • Reach out to us via this communityinbloom@nparks.gov.sg to provide us with your contact details and the proposed location (postal code) of the community garden. Our Community in Bloom team will be in touch with you shortly.
