I intend to set up a trade-related association. What are some of the areas I should be mindful of?

Trade-related societies should not be used as a vehicle to facilitate collusion between members as this may infringe section 34 of the Competition Act (Cap 50B). For example, recommendations issued by a society on prices its members should charge and agreements or arrangements amongst society members to exchange information pertaining to their current/future prices, may be an infringement. More information on competition issues may be found at http://www.cccs.gov.sg.
