How do I submit an application to change my society's constitution or amend its rules?
A society can submit its application for amendment of rules via ROS eServices. Societies are required to submit their applications after the resolution to amend the constitution is passed at a general meeting of members, in accordance with the society's existing constitution. The President and Secretary are required to verify and submit the application online. Proposed amendments should be submitted in Microsoft Word (docx) format. Supporting documents for attachment should preferably be in docx or pdf format. The file size of each attachment should not exceed 5Mb.
If the society is registered IPC/Charity, it is required to provide a letter from the Commissioner of Charities, supporting the society's proposed amendments when submitting the application to the Registry of Societies.
