Bus operators are directly responsible for the satisfactory delivery of public transport service to their customers. Day-to-day operational matters such as bus scheduling and deployment, long waiting time, bus crowding, air-conditioning, conduct and behavior of bus drivers, cleanliness and upkeep of buses, customer service, are most expediently dealt with by the bus operator directly. These operational matters also include the upkeep of facilities at bus interchanges, positioning and placement of bus service signboards and the display of service information at bus stops.
