Yes, an Occupational Therapist can conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine your eligibility for a Personal Mobility Aid (PMA).

Before qualifying for a subsidised PMA, you will be assessed on:

- Your physical abilities including strength, balance, and coordination needed to operate a mobility device safely

- Vision and perceptual skills that affect your ability to navigate safely in different environments

- Cognitive and thinking abilities which are essential for understanding and following on-road safety guidelines

- Your specific mobility goals and daily movement needs in the environments where you will use the mobility aid
