Sometimes, when connecting new source devices like laptops, consoles, or phones to your projector, oversight in adjusting the input and output settings can result in your projector not displaying the source's content or playing its audio. Additionally, if you're using an external speaker, you might have forgotten to configure the audio output settings, such as selecting the projector, speaker, or soundbar as the audio source. In some cases, these devices may be turned off or improperly connected to the projector.

Windows: Click the speaker icon in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar. Click the arrow or list next to the volume slider and select your projector/HDMI display as the output device.

Mac: Go to System Settings > Sound > Output and select the connected projector or HDMI display

  • Ensure your laptop is not muted

  • Confirm you have the selected HDMI

  • Check that the AV controller volume is turned up

  • Still not working? Reconnect the cable and restart the AV system

*Not all cables carry both video and audio.

HDMI: Check for physical damage and ensure it's plugged in securely. If using a long or older HDMI cable, it might be degraded and failing to transmit the audio signal.

Adapters & VGA: If you are using a VGA cable, it transmits only video. You will need a separate 3.5mm audio jack connected from your laptop to the projector's Audio In port.
