There are several 2FA options that you can choose from depending on your preference.

• Singpass app

  • If you have a smartphone, you may download the Singpass app to log in using your fingerprint, face or a 6-digit passcode. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

• Face Verification

  • This feature allows you to log in by entering your Singpass ID and password, followed by scanning your face on a computer with a web camera, or a smartphone with a front-facing camera.

• SMS 2FA

  • If you have a mobile phone that cannot download apps, you may log in to  Singpass Portal to set up your SMS 2FA. With this, you can use the SMS One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile number to log into Singpass. Only Singapore-registered mobile numbers may be used for this.

• Multi-User SMS 2FA

  • If a family member is helping you with your transactions, you can give your one-time explicit consent to link your Singpass account to his/her mobile number for the purpose of receiving the SMS-OTP. Both parties are required to activate this option at any of the Singpass counters islandwide.
