What is the cessation of e-Certs about?
SSG has been issuing two different formats of digital certificates (e-Certs and OpenCerts) to individuals who have attained WSQ SOA(s) or Qualification(s) between 1 Nov 2019 and 30 Jun 2024, which are accessible on MySkillsFuture’s Skills Passport.
E-Certs will not be issued for SOA or Qualification attained on or after 1 Jul 2024. Only OpenCerts will continue to be generated for new WSQ SOAs or Qualifications as the only digital certificate for WSQ trainees.
OpenCerts are validated and tamper-resistant digital certificates, which can also be downloaded, saved in PDF format, or printed.
E-Certs issued on and before 30 Jun 2024 will continue to be available in Skills Passport.
