I used to be a Registered Nurse (RN) in Singapore but moved overseas for many years and did not practise. How can I come back to Singapore to practise again?
Please refer to the following two scenarios:
If you were away from your last nursing practice in Singapore for less than 5years, then you can apply for the renewal of your Practising Certificate. We may need you to provide a statement that you were not practising nursing during the period you were away.
If you were away from your last nursing practice in Singapore for more than 5 years (up to 10 or 15 years depending on whether you have ever practised in Singapore before that), you have lapsed in nursing practice and will need to complete a Return to Nursing Programme first before you can return to nursing.
