An acknowledgement email will be sent after a STR is submitted on SONAR. The Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office (STRO) will proceed to analyse the Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) to detect criminal activity, money laundering and terrorism financing. Subsequently, the STR filer/lodger may receive a SONAR bulletin broadcast if the status of the STR changes.
