What is the processing time for my Singapore citizenship, Permanent Residence and/or Long-Term Visit Pass application?

Updated by ICA

For applications submitted on or after 26 June 2024

All applications are carefully considered and reviewed by ICA. Generally, if you are applying for a single product, the processing time for:
*Singapore citizenship applications may take up to 12 months to process;
*Singapore Permanent Residence applications may take up to 6 months to process; &
*Long-Term Visit Pass applications may take up to 6 weeks to process.

If you are applying for multiple products, the processing time will follow the product with the longest processing time. The processing times are indicative and serve as a guide if all the required documents are submitted. Depending on the complexity of the case, some applications may take longer to processed.

You will be informed of the outcome via email. Meanwhile, you or your sponsor may check the status of your application online at MyICA or via ICA e-Service.

New or repeated applications, for the same person(s), will not be accepted while the current application is still in process.
