Will I be able to enter the National Institute of Education (NIE) directly after I have been appointed as an untrained teacher?
You will be required to undergo a compulsory teaching stint in a school as an untrained teacher upon appointment to the service. You will join the next available NIE intake if you have been assessed as suitable for teaching at the School Assessment Exercise and if the relevant course is available.
