How long is the teaching bond period?
The Postgraduate Diploma in Education and the Diploma in Education (Dip Ed) programmes carry a teaching bond of 3 years. Those on the Bachelor of Arts/Science (Education) programme are bonded for a period of 4 years. If you are an MOE scholar or Teaching Award holder, the bond ranges from 4 to 6 years. Those sponsored under the Teacher Training Scheme have a bond of 5 years, which will be extended to 7 years if they immediately cross over to the Bachelor of Art/Science (Education) programme upon completion of their Dip Ed course.
