Returning Singaporeans need not sit for admission tests or interviews for admission to primary schools. Primary schools may conduct assessment tests after admission to ascertain the children’s current attainment level and provide the appropriate assistance to help them settle back into the schools. The schools may, based on assessment tests and in consultation with parents, place the children into a lower more suitable level.
