My child received one Wait List offer from School A. Should I still submit my preference for School A since the chance of getting into the school may be slim?
You can submit your preference if you are still keen on admitting your child to the school via DSA-Sec.
Your child will be allocated a place if:
- There are remaining vacancies after the other students with confirmed offers have made their choices.
- Your child’s Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) score qualifies for a Posting Group offered by the school. Learn more about Posting Groups under Full SBB.
In previous years, about half of the students on the schools' Wait List were successfully allocated to a secondary school via DSA-Sec.
Please note that if your child is successfully allocated to a secondary school under the DSA-Sec, they are not allowed to transfer to another school after the release of PSLE results or participate in Secondary 1 Posting to opt for secondary schools. They are required to honour the commitment to the allocated DSA-Sec school for the entire duration of the programme.
