Is the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) the only test which is accepted before applying to take the AEIS-Primary? Why did MOE choose this test?
Other service providers were evaluated and only the Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) test by Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) was found to meet MOE’s requirements.
Using the CEQ test provides more convenience to international students, as international students can sit for the CEQ test in more than 130 countries (including Singapore) in the preceding 12 months before applying to take the AEIS-Primary. There is no need for international students to travel to Singapore specifically to take the CEQ.
