Higher Chinese Language (HCL) is a compulsory subject for all P1 to P4 students who are eligible

At Primary 5, students will be offered the option to choose to continue to take HCL as an additional subject on top of the Chinese curriculum.
As this means juggling with 5 PSLE subjects, parents and students should consider the following:

1. The child's current academic performance and ability to handle additional workload

2. Long-term educational goals and interests

3. Time management capabilities

4. Support available at home for the higher level of language learning
