Explosives / Explosive Precursors can only be stored in premises approved by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department. Some of the requirements for explosives / explosive precursors storages include:

- Physical storages which can be secured with strong locks (Explosive Magazine is required for storing of explosives)
- Intrusion detection system such as motion sensors, alarm
- CCTV camera coverage
- Accessed only by authorised person
- Sufficient separation distance from other non-compatible materials such as flammables
