How to log out of the Singpass app

There is no logout button in the Singpass app. The app is designed to stay logged in for security and convenience reasons, but it automatically locks itself when not in use.
Why there's no logout button
The Singpass app works differently from websites or other apps. It's built as an authenticator that only activates when you're accessing a service. Here's what happens instead of logging out:
Automatic locking: The app locks itself when you're not using it
Biometric protection: You need your fingerprint, face, or passcode to access anything
Session-based access: Each time you use a government service, you authenticate fresh
What to do instead of logging out
If you want to switch to another family member's account
Close the Singpass app completely by swiping it away from your recent apps
Have the other person open the Singpass app on the same device
They'll need to set up their own biometric authentication
Tip: Each person should ideally use their own device for the most secure experience.
If you're worried about security
The app is designed to be secure without logging out:
Your personal information is only shown after biometric verification
The app detects security threats and disables itself if needed
All sessions with government services end automatically when you close your browser
If you've lost your device
Install the Singpass app on your new device
Set it up with your Singpass credentials
This will automatically deactivate the app on your lost device

Troubleshooting
The app shows my photo immediately when I open it
This is normal - the photo appears to confirm it's your account, but you still need biometric verification to access any actual information or services.

The app won't work after I got a security warning
