What should I do if I intend to use a self-driven wheeled vehicle which does not have a valid vehicle registration number?

Under current rules and regulations, vehicles without valid vehicle registration numbers cannot be self-driven on public roads.

They must be transported atop another vehicle with a valid vehicle registration number (e.g. low bed trailers, etc.), or towed by vehicles with valid vehicle registration numbers.

If you are applying for the OVM permit to tow a vehicle without a valid vehicle registration number, please select "all other articulated vehicles" for the type of motor vehicle, enter the vehicle registration number of the towing vehicle in the field for main prime mover and then TOWED VEH in the field for main trailer/cometto. You must also provide details in the "description of load" field, (e.g. "towing SPMT" for self-propelled modular transporter, "towing CHARIOT" for temple chariots, etc.).
