What are the stipulated travel timings for oversized vehicle movement?
Due to the excessive size of oversized vehicles, their travel timings must be regulated to ensure the safety of other road users, and to minimise the impact to traffic flow.
| (A) | In view of heavy traffic volume and for the safety and convenience of other road users, the movement of vehicles exceeding width or length requirements (where escort is not required) is strictly prohibited during the peak hours (i.e. from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.). |
| (B) | The permitted travel windows for vehicles travelling with escort are from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) on all roads except expressways, and from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) on expressways. |
