Why is my child not posted to their preferred school even though they have met the cut-off point (COP) of the school?

It is possible that your child may not be posted to the preferred secondary school even they met the school’s COP. This happens when there are more than one student with the same PSLE score vying for the last available vacancies in the school, their posting will be determined according to the tie-breakers, which are in the order of citizenship status, then choice order of schools, and if need be, computerised balloting.
