Is it possible that I will not be posted to the course under Joint Admission Exercise (JAE) despite choosing it as one of the choices and meeting the eventual course’s cut off point (COP)?
Yes, it is possible. This happens when there are other applicants with the same net aggregate score vying for the last available place in the course.
If there are 2 or more applicants with the net aggregate score vying for the last place in the course, their posting will be determined according to citizenship status, in this order:
- Singapore Citizens (SC)
- Permanent Residents (PR)
- International students
If both of you have same citizenship, e.g., SC, the one with a better gross aggregate score will be posted to the course.
If there is still a tie, a computerised ballot will decide the posting outcome.
