My child obtained a D7 at the GCE 'O' Level Higher Mother Tongue Language Exam. Does he still need to offer H1 Mother Tongue Language in JC?
Your child would not need to take the H1 MTL examination if he/she has obtained a D7 or better in Higher MTL at the GCE 'O' level as your child would have deemed to have fulfilled the H1 MTL requirement.
As MTL is an integral part of the GCE 'A' level curriculum, H1 MTL cannot be replaced with another subject and students should continue to be engaged in the learning of MTL.
